About the Author
Rabbi Rachel Ain
Spiritual leader, teacher, and sought-after speaker whose work bridges ancient wisdom and modern life.
Rabbi Rachel Ain serves as Senior Rabbi of Sutton Place Synagogue in New York City, one of the most vibrant Conservative congregations in the country. For more than two decades, she has guided thousands of people through life's most meaningful moments — births, deaths, marriages, b'nei mitzvah, and everything in between.
Known for her warmth, depth, and rare ability to make the sacred feel accessible, Rabbi Ain is a sought-after speaker and teacher whose voice resonates far beyond the walls of her synagogue. She draws on Jewish tradition, personal experience as a mother, wife, daughter, and communal leader, and a deep belief that ancient wisdom has profound relevance for modern life.
Watch How You Go is her first book — a heartfelt letter to her children and to all who seek to live with greater intention, courage, and faith. It reflects everything she has learned and taught over a lifetime of service: that the journey matters as much as the destination, and that how we go through life shapes who we become.
Rabbi Ain is a graduate of the Jewish Theological Seminary and holds advanced degrees in Jewish education and communal leadership. She lives in New York City with her family.
